During Smart Show 1997 (the alternative Artfair) in
Stockholm I participated in Konstautomaten an Art vending machine curated
by Annika Oskarsson & Jeanette Schweitz.
The public could buy art works from an ordinary vending machine for a
minimum price of 5 Swedish Crowns and a maximum price of 99 Swedish Crowns.
The title of my artwork was Nils Holgersson's Wonderful Adventures and
it consisted of selling authentic twenty crowns-bills for the price of
five crowns.
The twenty crowns-bills are dedicated to Nobel Prize winning author Selma
Lagerlöf. On the face of the banknote there is Selma's portrait and
on the backside an illustration from her book "Nils Holgersson's
Wonderful Journey in Sweden"
