Art in Sexual Context
is a project in which I'm trying to put the focus both on the connection
between art and pornography and on the presence of "traditional"
art on the internet.
The pictures included in this
image-gallery are so called "free pics" that I collected from
the web.
Art is living its own life independently
from the artists that created it. Once, the artwork have been sold,
usually the artist can’t decide anymore the private-context in
which the art-piece will be shown.
Art in Sexual Context compares the art-experience you
can have by looking at reproductions of artworks with having a sexual-experience
generated by pornography.
Art in Sexual Context is
an investigation of the mechanisms of internet, but in the same time,
just an internet-gallery among many others.
People are making galleries about everything
from cats and dogs to UFOs. This is a very common activity that requires
lots of energy and enthusiasm from the creators.
Art in the Sexual Context
is not about the glory of art or pornography but a study of their tragic-comic
meeting.
